With ten years in graphic design and production in the Denver area, I've acquired the eye and instinct to assist you with any design challenge. Dedication, hard work, and persistence are the cornerstones to the assets that I can provide you and your organization.
I have been the Design & Production Coordinator (Senior Designer) with the Arabian Horse Association for seven years. Primary responsibilities included managing the design and production of the Association's bi-monthly full-color publication Arabian Horse Magazine with an international circulation of 45,000. I designed all of the editorial, some of the ads, coordinated trafficking, trained and supervised the
on-staff designers (both full-time and temp), determined content placement, set up the imposition, handled all pre-press and production workflow, including the creation of flawless PDFs for our web printer American Web, attended press checks and set up the expense spreadsheets. In between all of that, I managed the workflow of and designed the collateral projects such as brochures, posters, trade fair signs and banners, DVD labels, postcards, flyers, outside publication ads, booklets, and event programs.
Prior to this, I was co-owner of Colorpillar, a renowned color house assisting top comic book publishers. We handled coloring and pre-press for such clients as Acclaim Entertainment, Antarctic Press, Blackout Comics, and London Night Studios. Prior to Colorpillar, I handled projects from DC Comics and Warner Brothers.
I am deadline-tested, a creative troubleshooter, and my calm and cool leadership, in even the most stressful of situations, has inspired my charges and colleagues.
